Review: Hawaiian Bros

Hawaii is a culture full of good food. We now have a chance to experience some of those foods with one of the newer restaurants in town, Hawaiian Bros. With options for online delivery, drive thru, or walk in, they are very convenient. The inside, when I walked in, was very bare but modern. With surfboards for tables and metal chairs all over the place, the place was clean and nice looking. All the entrees are under ten dollars with two meats costing another dollar. All meals come with rice and macaroni salad. My food was delivered in less than five minutes, which is incredibly fast for a regular restaurant. However, Hawaiian Bros is more of a fast food restaurant, which means it was a little slower then I would have liked.

Some of the food was great, and some of it was bad. The rice was fine, but it is hard to mess up rice. The macaroni salad was not good, as they put too much mayo in it. All it was was pasta and mayo. If they are serving this on every dish, they need to step it up. The best out of the three meats I tried was the Huli Huli Chicken. It was absolutely delicious, marinated for the right amount of time before being cooked. Second, was the Luau Pork, which was basically pulled pork done Hawaiian. It had a nice smoky flavor, but I was expecting more Hawaiian flavors than American BBQ flavor. Third, and last, was the Honolulu Chicken. All it is is a downgraded version of the Huli Huli Chicken. As for the Grilled Veggies, do not even bother. It was marinated in the same marinade as the Huli Huli Chicken, which goes horrible with vegetables. All in all, I would not go out of my way to eat there; however, if I was on that side of town, I would go there for a quick bite to eat.
