Buzzer Beater for the Win
This Friday night, Seabury once again met up against our principal rival, Veritas, in a boys’ basketball showdown. As is always the case in games against Veritas, the stands were entirely full with students, parents etc. from both schools, and the game did not disappoint. Although the Seahawks led for most of the game, Veritas ended up with a 2-point lead going into the final play. With seconds on the clock, senior Chris Green found sophomore Zach Bloch for a 3 as time expired. Nothing but net. As the Seabury fans stormed the court and the Veritas players and fans dejectedly left the gym, the game’s score was recorded as 51-50, Seabury.
